ON-OFF Butterfly Valve

A motorized butterfly valve operates by rotating a flat circular disc, or "butterfly," within the valve body to regulate or stop fluid flow. The disc is connected to a shaft, which is driven by an electric actuator. When the actuator receives a control signal (ON/OFF or modulating), it rotates the disc 0–90 degrees. In the fully open position, the disc aligns with the pipeline to allow flow; in the closed position, it seals against the valve seat to stop flow. Limit switches or sensors automatically stop the motor at the desired position, enabling precise flow control and automation integration with systems like PLC, SCADA, or BMS 

• Electric Actuator: Converts electrical energy into mechanical motion to rotate the disc. Actuators can be On/Off type for simple isolation or Modulating type for precise positioning using 4-20mA or 0-10V signals 
• Valve Body: Houses the disc and connects to the pipeline. Materials include stainless steel, cast iron, or UPVC depending on media compatibility 
• Disc and Shaft: The disc creates a seal when closed and regulates flow when partially open. The shaft transmits torque from the actuator to the disc 

• Automation: Can be remotely operated and integrated into control systems, eliminating manual intervention 
• Precision: Allows fine flow regulation, unlike manual valves that rely on operator judgment 
• Efficiency: Faster operation and reduced labor costs, especially in systems requiring frequent cycling 
• Compact Design: Shorter length and lower profile compared to gate or globe valves, making installation easier in tight spaces
